BE SAFE! Compared to a typical automobile, motorcycle brake lights are simply too small to attract immediate attention. This is especially true for the cruisers because they are mounted so low to the ground. TailBlazer overcomes this by rapidly flashing the tail lights the instant you apply the brakes. The flash rate then slows down to a steady ON - this cycle lasts about four (4) seconds. This flash pattern is called a Deceleration Warning. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) suggests that you pump your brakes at each stop. TailBlazer does it automatically, and by flashing both filaments for a maximum brightness. TailBlazer 30W-D SELF MODULATING HALOGEN bulb has a dual contact wedge base. The Modulator is built directly into the base while the element is replaceable. The typical application is 2004 & up Harley models with wedge base bulbs. *Improved Version! 1) Larger reflector base for easier installation. 2) New circuit with ""pulse-blanking"" accommodates bulb monitoring systems of newer motorcycles. 3) Wider dispersion of light for broad, uniform spectrum. What do they see? As soon as you tap your brakes, drivers behind you will see the brake light(s) modulate rapidly at first then slow down to a solid ON over a period of four (4) seconds. This sudden flashing invokes immediate attention. What will they think? TailBlazer uses a flash pattern which decays exponentially - a well-recognized deceleration warning. The attention to the initial flashing now changes to a clear recognition that you're beginning to slow down! Simply flashing brake lights or flashing them on & off will get the attention of drivers behind you, but it doesn't invoke anything else. Every split second of delay in their reaction reduces your safety margin. The internal circuitry is controlled by a microprocessor. The trigger voltage to begin the deceleration flash pattern when the brakes are applied is set at 12.1V min. Therefore you may need to have the engine running for brake flash to occur reliably. Deceleration flash pattern for the brakes will always be at full intensity. Simply hold the brakes and then turn the ignition on three times quickly. There are two selectable intensities ""High"" and ""Low"". Will the TailBlazer 30W-D Brake Light Flasher work with my motorcycle? The 30W-D is a plug-in unit designed for motorcycles with dual-contact (1157) wedge base bulb types including many 2004 and newer Harley-Davidson ® Motorcycles. To determine which TailBlazer model is correct for your motorcycle, please use our TailBlazer Model Lookup. If your motorcycle is not listed, please call us, toll-free, 1-866-496-3184. Is the TailBlazer 30W-D Brake Light Flasher legal in my state? Yes. The TailBlazer 30W-D is legal in all 50 states. Is there any additional heat generated by the TailBlazer 30W-D Brake Light Flasher? No. There is no additional heat generated by the 30W-D. The G4 halogen bulb that comes with the 30W-D actually produces less heat than the 1157 bulb that it replaces. The G4 halogen bulb is rated at 20W (14.5V) with 320 Lumen output The average life of the bulb is 2000 hours. Open Question: Teachers riding motorcycles to school?

I just bought my first bike. I am a permanent substitute for an urban school district, and would never dream of leaving my bike out in that parking lot (would get stolen in a minute). However, this summer I am tutoring at a summer camp run by the college where I'm getting my masters (tutoring at the camp is part of my class requirement). Would it be inappropriate for me to ride there? Its about a half hour drive, so that's one full hour four days a week... I could save massively on gas, and get good use out of my bike. I plan on wearing on all of my gear all the time, but I'm worried that parents might not like it if their kid's teacher is some biker babe (although it will be in an area where riding is pretty popular... lots of bikes out on the road).

Open Question: What kind of mechanical job should I strive for?

I went to college for a year, and it was fun but I didn't have what it took. I just couldn't find the motivation to do the work. I am really attracted to manual labor-type jobs, despite my desire to go to school. When I went to college I was just doing what I thought I was expected to do... I was attracted to the programming culture, but discovered that I loathe coding. It is a terrible, obnoxious process of trial and error. Anyway, I've always loved the idea of working on cars, and recently motorcycles... I'm largely interested in money, though. Money is what motivates me, recently, money pays for my happiness. (You can't buy new tires for your track bike with love from your family.) So now I'm testing the waters, trying to explore what I should do... I joined the military after I dropped out of college and I have a few years left, but I'd like to start planning for my future... What jobs fields should I look into? I heard that bmw mechanics make good money, but a friend says that he would be a diesel mechanic if he wanted to make money. I like working on cars and diagnosing them etc, but I also like motorcycles and could see myself doing that... but if mechanics don't make that much, what other jobs could you go through technical training for? designing new cars? (like engines and stuff, probably not testing the aerodynamics of models.) Or would you need some kind of mechanical engineering degree for that? Appreciate the info, I would really like a job working with vehicles... (Not selling them) but I'm disenchanted with degree programs

Open Question: Renting in SoCal? First time on my own.?

I'm looking for a 2bed/1bath apartment/townhouse in so cal (corona, rialto, fontana, ontario) which means rent is between 600-900 a month. I'm getting this place with my girlfriend. Combined income per month is around 4000$. I just needa know what i should expect in expenses. Only utility that i have to pay for is electricity, how much is that per month for a small place? Currently my only expenses are cell phone ($50), motorcycle insurance ($12), and gas ($30-$40) per month. So will we be ok?
