My calico cats won't get along?
I have two lovely calico cats... one I raised from a kitten and is now 6 years old, the other we adopted about 4 months ago, and she's about 5 years old. The original cat is the aggressor and hisses and chases the new cat whenever she sees her. The new cat is now confined to the upstairs part of our house because the old cat has made it clear that the downstairs " belongs" to her. Does anyone have any advice on helping them to get along, or at least tolerate each other? Thank you

Are calico cats more likely to get sick?
I have a dilute calico cat, that's the kind with more white on their bodies. Right now, she is pretty sick. She is normally a very hyper happy social cat but she's been wanting to just lay around for the past 4 days. She is still drinking lots of water and she nibbles at her food but I can tell something is wrong. I don't even know if she is using her box, I haven't heard her scratching in it too much. I have a toddler and a baby gate set up and normally both of our cats can jump over it with ease but she can't jump over it anymore. I know the common sense thing to do is take her to the vet but I have absolutely no money for it and this vet here will not do a payment plan. It's money up front or nothing. They are the only vet in this tiny rural town.We had a cat before this one that was also a dilute calico and she died of complications the vets could never explain. My mom and I spent about $800 between us for testing and x rays and all that to find out what was wrong but the vets couldn't tell me what the problem was. They just called me the day after we took her in and said she was dead. Anyway, I wonder if calicos are more likely to have health problems? In my experience, it certainly seems like it.She is almost 2 and both of my cats are strictly indoor cats. I haven't noticed any strings or shoe laces missing.
My calico cat has dandruff?
What should I do? I know a friend that washes her cat in the bathtub but I have never done that. Could I use Head and Shoulders on her?
Is it true that a Calico cat is one that won't mind having an owner that is not always home all day?
I am going to be getting a Calico cat soon and my parents aren't always home neither are me and my sister during the day until when school will end and then all weekend me and my sister are usually there all day. I watched cats 101 on animal planet and I think they said that the Calico doesn't mind being home alone for periods of time but I can't remember. does anyone know if it is true? Thanks,
Any vets on? or know a lot about cats? i have a 9 month Calico cat?
ok before i get to my question, me and my husband adopted a cat about 3 months, shes 9 months very playful with my daughter whose 4. Also very patient with kids my daughter loves to chase her around and i can say poor kitty always hides from my daughter. Shes very healthy she has been declawed on the front and also been altered and spayed. She always seems to come at night into bed with me and my husband my daughter sleeps in the same room with us but in her own bed. Lately for the past 3 days i have been noticing that the cat goes and jumps in her bed and smells her pretty much from head to toe, she gets to close to her face that i'm scared she might bite her. i know i might be exaggerating but, i don't want nothing happening to her. of course i always take the cat off her bed but what about when im not paying attention? So my question is should i be worried? i know also they like to smell but doesn't she know her sent already? and she don't do this to me and my husband? sorry with all this questions but this is my first time that with a cat and thank you she was declawed not by me but by her old owner.picture of our baby viewmorepics.myspace.com index.cfm?fuseaction viewImage& friendID 366198569& albumID 1552737& imageID 25517917
