Stray cat birthing container?
The stray cat we've feed for several months is about to have a litter. This will be her second litter. The first she brought to us when they were about 5 6 weeks old. Unfortunately we can't handle them. This litter I would like to be able to handle so we can give them away when they are old enough. Momma and babies have been staying on our patio along with our three older spayed females. Too many cats The question is how do I persuade momma to have the litter on the patio? From the looks of her I'd say she's only got a week or two left. What can I do to convince her to stay with us? BarbShe will be spayed as soon as she is done with this next batch. The last litter will be spayed neutered in November when they are 6 months old. That part is taken care of through my vet. As far as an enclosed area, I'm afraid the patio is it. It is closed up at night when I make my cats come in. Ther are spaces in the old windows that the kittens can come and go as they please. Unfortunately, Momma doesn't take lightly to being closed up And she can get out when she wants but can't get back in until I open the door. I also have electric warmers that I bought for my cats because there is no heat on the patio. Will that be sufficient for new kittens? I've never had kittens before I'm like a nervous father My three were picked from someone elses litter and raised individually. This is really nerve racking Thanks for the input

plz help me asap, i have to do sth as soon as i can my cat gave birth 6 weeks ago, and now she is in heat, she is still nursing but i know she can get pregnant still , she ran away the day before yesterday and mated with a tom cat, then yesterday before i get to take her to the vet,she mated again when we took her to the vet he gave her birth control pills to stop the heat , but my question is what if she already got pregnant yesterday or the day before? ? wont it hurt her? or the babies? or wont it complicate things like make the kittens inside of her retarded or smth? when i told him that, he said we have 2 options to take the risk and shot her with some drug that has many side effects today 24H after the last mating or we keep giving her the pill till she stops nursing and then we spay her becuz now that she is nursing we cant take her to surgeory and if she was pregnant ,becuz we dont want anymore kittens instead of just tie her tubes he will take out her whole womb and ovaries and if babies were there abort them, and he said we cant know for sure if she is pregnant till 3 weeks from now , and i know that is a very good thing to do to spay any pet becuz of their own good and over population, but i dont trust him plz tell me what to do? should i just give the pill to stop her from having any more sex and increasing her chances to get pregnant? and just butcher the babies if she was pregnant ? plz help i don trust vets in this country,,, becuz they dont really care abt animals and they seek any chance to book surgeries so they can earn money even if it kills the animal and i cant let that happen i have talked to lotta vets already... plz help me

Experience with cat birth control pills/shots.?
I am considering using a birth control method not spaying for my indoor Himalayan cat. Since I am expecting a new baby soon and also a move, I want to delay breeding her for quite a while until we are settled and I am ready to care for her and her kittens.I can deal with her howling while she's in heat, but I would like her to be able to roam the house instead of having to keep her in a seperate room at night because of the noise.I have never tried either of these methods of birth control in cats before and I would like to know others experiences, such as side effects, cost, and effectiveness.ThanksPlease DO NOT respond unless you have actual experience with birth control pills shots for cats.Serious answers only.
Reworded Question: My cat birth to 2 kittens but still looks pregnant. What's wrong?
Her vet is out of town, and there are obviously none still open at this hour around here. Our neighbors, that gave her to us when they moved, said she's given birth 4 successful times they hadn't got her spayed and she was obviously pregnant when we got her and also said we could tell when she did because she immediately drops down to her normal weight. But that hasn't happened. She gave birth to the last kitten about 24 hours ago. I'm pretty sure it's not milk that's causing her to still be as big, what could be wrong? How can I tell if there are still kittens in there, or do I have to have her x rayed for that? Any help is appreciated P.S. To those who have answered a question like this, I had to reword mine so that it gave more usual information

my cat gave birth to a kitten outside in my neighbours garden about 30hrs ago the kitten has died but my cat has now gone back to the nest i made her under the stairs and is still fat,there has also been a bit of bloody discharge coming from her i thought she would have more than one kitten.But i have read that it could take up to 48hrs for her to finish anybody with any advice i would be grateful as it has been quite upsetting and don't want my cat be in harmThanks had the cat checked by vet all is ok she was only meant to have one as she was small and young but is going to make full recovery

Is there such a thing as cat birth control? we'd like our cat to have kittens again next year but do not want her to have them when she comes into season as would be hard to find homes and we don't want her to have them so soon after her first litter.

O.K. So I'm kinda new to this. I'v never had a pet thats had babies. Raymie, my cat, is pretty big. Some of the signs that she'll givebirth soon are there, such asher getting really clingy to me. she is really close. and i just saw her pushing, but i think shes going to have a problem because shes the runt of the ltter of when SHE was born. and i dont know if theres going to be any complications?there is no spca's in milwaukee. only like 20 vets, and something like it, but its something like a humane society, but it puts cats down... so i dont want to do anything with madacc.
