Why do you like cats?
I have a question for you cat lovers out there...?
If a cat after several years shows no signs of affection or adaptation, always hiding never letting anyone touch it. This may because of past abuse or the animal is simply too wild, either way I just can't see the point in keeping them. I'm writing this to hear the other side of the story, if there is one.With a dog this is never a problem, they will always let you pet them, this applies to almost all animals. It's damaged cats specifically who in my opinion, after several years at rehabilitation, if they don't show change I see no point in keeping them, could you argue otherwise?With a child, you get affection and there's always going to be moments where you're happy you had them, shelter them, feed them. It's a give and take relationship as with children and other animals.With animals, you're basically their servant and in return you get love, affection, and companionship from the animal clearly worth it . With certain nasty cats, they will never change, and never offer any of the above mentioned qualities. You're just their servant and you get nothing in return, this situation almost never happens with children or any other animal, it's only nasty cats.How would a crazy cat lover justify keeping a cat who won't let you touch it, show any affection or companionship? The given being you've given it over 5 years to change with no signs of improvement?Am I wrong in thinking these cats are worthless and if they can't offer affection or companion ship after several years of kindness, they should be euthanized?First, you must acknowledge certain cats will never change, always being scared or hating humans despite kind gentle rehabilitation for years one end.
What should I do about my cat's hurt foot? Any vets/experienced cat lovers especially!?
My cat hit her foot on a pot 2 days ago while jumping from a tree. I'm reluctant to take her to the vet because she gets very traumatised being a rescued kitty and it's difficult to get trust up again. What's helping me to think that it would be preferable to wait for improvement is that when it first happened, she wouldn't let me touch it, didn't put it on the floor and didn't eat for a day. Now she is eating, behaving as usual, jumping on couches and letting me rub and touch her foot. Only problem is that she has a tiny limp and sits differently, showing that it is still not healed properly.So should I just wait for it to heal on its own as the vet may likely say ? When should I take her to the vet if she is still limping? Is it possible that something is broken, even though she is jumping on things and lets me rub her foot? If anyone has experienced something like this with their kitty, I would love some advice,Thank you
All cat lovers, i need advice"?
i have a rag doll cat, and he has just turned one, as you will know a rag doll is supposed to be docile. But this cat is not he is like a naughty jack russel dog.That'ss how i can describe him. He LOVES being outside. but we cant let him out that often because he climbs into my next door neighbours garden and we are scared he wont be able to defend himself or we lose him. He does reallyunusuall things like, he pants like a dog. He wags his tailfranticallyy when he see's me or is relaxed. He tends to pick things up and walk around with them in his mouth. And he can be REALLYaggressivee when he hasn't been outside, but also reallylovingg and non stop purring. Can you tell me what to do, to make him lessaggressivee. By the way, hes been castrated as well. Also, he picks on my jack russel dog and likes to wack the female cats.And bite and scratch me. What is making him so angry? we are just letting him out now, and we have seen a slight change in him. Whats a good way to tell him that what hes doing is naughty. i have tried scuffingg him but idoesn'tnt help Thank youou for all your comments cat lovers x

...your fuzzy baby was sick.A couple months ago I fell completely in love with this beautiful lab mix that belonged to a new friend. He was completely unsocialized with people and was afraid of everyone, but he came up to me right away. I started taking him home with me for a few days in a row and when his mom saw how fast we bonded she just gave him to me. She loves him, but she just never bonded with him like she did with her other dogs. He had a problem with one of his shoulders and his owner was told by her vet that it was a cartilage problem that could be fixed with surgery. I took him for his pre surgery x rays this week and got slammed with the news that he has a very aggressive bone cancer. He is only three years old, and I am completely stunned and sick over it. The vet said that either his leg will just break, or his body will start to shut down and he will have to be put down either way. The vet said that amputation and radiation may only prolong his life for a short time more in DB ...

i,ve had my new cat for two weeks and two days, she is 8 years old. i went up just now to see her. and for the first time she was on my daughters window sile, she has,nt yet made let me stroke her. i popped my head around the curtain and she was rubbing her chin on the window sile and approached me for the first time, she rubbed her head on my hand then sort of gave me a smack. why is this? please help.

I,m looking for advice from you cat lovers out there, regards my new cat.?
i,ve re homed a 8 year old female cat, and i,ve had her for two weeks and two days. she taken straight away to hiding under my daughters bed. i know this is normal i have spent the last two weeks sitting in the room with her for a few hours every night. she will eat while i,m in the room, and i can also get her out to play with some toys, she will also roll round the floor, but she has,nt let me stroke her as of yet, is this normal? i,ve got so much love to give her its unreal. two nights ago i moved her food and litter box on to the landing outside my daughters bedroom door, and she seems fine to use it. i have been told to move it again to the top of the stairs, leave it for a while. then move to bottom of the stairs, to try and encourage her out of the room. is this ok to do?

Well, we have a 5 6 month old kitten named Lacey and she's so playful, but the problem is, all our other cats get SO annoyed by her. We have 4 cats including her and her best friend Well, sometimes is one of our dogs, Cookie. So, how can I make it so she won't be bored?
