Where can I get cheap cat supplies in Pittsburgh, PA?
I just adopted a cat, and I want to know where I can get cheap pet supplies cheap but still fairly sturdy healthy . I'm seventeen, and I was allowed to adopt him on the condition that I pay for all his expenses myself. I don't have a job yet trust me, I'm applying everywhere and even posting babysitting flyers , and all I have till then is fifty dollars.Also, while I'm asking this, could anyone also estimate for me how much it is to go to a vet just for a check up?

I am adopting a stray cat from my neighborhood. He is getting his leg amputated tomorrow and I need to know if there is any place that can get me started with supplies, like a litter box, or some starter food or something. The surgery is going to cost me $300 so I won't have enough to get any more food or kitty litter than I already have. I have him using a cardboard box with litter and a liner in it. He's been house broken in the past, someone abandoned him here and he got hit by a car. Any help would be great. Thanks

I am getting a cat. We will all be responsible for taking care of it. I want to know, what are the basic supplies needed. Rite now i need a little bit of things for my cat. eventually i will buy it more. Just list some items i must have for the cat in order for it to survive?

Trying to save money on cat supplies (ideas?)?
Hi, I have two great cats. I love them. Anyhow, my girlfriend and I have upgraded the home, she's back in school for her masters, and we just find money a little tighter these days. She's suggested that I try to find a young child who loves cats and give them to the child so we can save money. But I want to see if there are ways out there to save money on cat supplies or just be more efficient with the cats. I shop at Costco Petco. My cats are happy with each other, have a good toys, and a few healthy treats. I think it's the food and litter that I could be more efficient with. Any ideas? I don't mind investing a little more now to save in the long run. Thanks, George

Why do people buy their dog/cat supplies from Petco and Petsmart when they get their animals from mills?
People who have " NO PUPPY MILLS " in their name suggest going to Petco to buy dog food in their answers. If you don't know what I'm talking about look at this cavyspirit.com petstores.htmbrecklagh.com petshops.htmlThis applies to all animals birds, reptiles, hamsters, etc.It doesn't MATTER how little animals they sell, they still come from mills and even if they take good care of them there it still isn't okay. Are dogs any more important that cockatiels?They do get their animals from mills. No good reptile rodent bird breeder would sell to a petstore, just like no good dog breeder would, regardless of their care there. I've seen Petco sell hamsters to screaming five year olds. They don't care.
