Litter kwitter cat training system?
Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Is your cat using it, or do you still have an additonal litter tray?I am looking to buy and try, but would like to hear if anyone has tried it yet first.Thank you.

Can someone give me cat training tips?
I have a cat, Tigger, who likes to attack my little sister who's almost 2. I need to train him not too claw bite her in a short space of time. Any tips? I know that cats hate citrus, and I don't want him declawed.

New puppy vs. elderly cat training?
Ive had dogs my whole life 25 yrs . My parents also. We adopted a great dane lab mix puppy 6 mo 1 year old who we've had for a little more than one week. He is pretty mellow, not vicious, loves to play and sleep, has only barked once, calm with strangers, a real sweetheart. We even received him housebroken. The only BIG issue we are having is with our 2 elderly cats. The first night we brought him home he was so friendly, immediately comfortable until he saw our cats. The second he saw the cats it was complete tunnel vision, full on focus to jump up on the bunk bed and get to the cats. We spent 5 hours of him jumping, pulling him down to sit, NO, him jumping, NO jump, NO you get the idea . The next day the same thing. We tried walking him passed the bedrooms on a leash to get to know the cats he lashed out again threw himself at the beds etc etc. The few times the cats did come out to investigate they were chased through the house and cornered by the dog. We did allow the dog on leash to go and smell the cat when she came out so that they could smell eachother, maybe he would scratched and learn his lesson. He did get scratched, and it didnt phase him. Basically now the house is seperated dog vs cats in the bedroom. Today we let him walk through and he made it onto the bunkbed in one jump and cornered the cat. What can we do to get them used to eachother faster without turning it into a game, an injury and without terrifying the cats. The cats are 11 and spent their whole life with my 16 year old dog who passed. They loved her and would sleep with her. I would like them to get along with our new dog too.its only been a week. hes perfect on walks and with other dogs he doesnt pull. we can control him when needed but each time he sees or is brought near the cats he goes after them. ive always had large dogs, and my mother had 4 danes so we know about the bloat, strength pulling etc.

A question about cat training?
ok I have 7 cats and i am haveing a problem with some of them.... they are all house cats two of them are finding new homes we are kinda doing a rescue thing where we take them in and help them and find new homes for them... but we also have 2 small children and the cats keep peeing on things and i know two of them that like to poo on things.. its very unsanitary and i would like it if i could go a day or so without haveing to clean up cat poo or pee any suggestions? Also, the catlitter boxes are in our basement and there food is in the upstairs kitchen, we have 7 cat litter boxes that are cleaned out everyother day so they know where to go... they are all fixed so they shouldnt be marking territory....ok i think thats all....

Has anyone had luck with the "Litter Kwitter" cat training system?
Hi all. I'm very keen to toilet train my two cats using the famous " Litter Kwitter" system. Have any of you used this before, and how did it go?? How long did it take to complete training? Has your cat kept his new routine, or have there been any 'accidents' with fouling or spraying? Also, going slightly off the question, if you've trained your cat, and then move house, would you have to re train your cat, or would they just seek out the new toilet? Thanks so much

Need help with cat training?
I just moved in into a new appartement two weeks ago for school bringing my cat with me. The cat's litter is in the bathroom, and the door of the bathroom is always open. I clean the cat litter everyday. Sadly she startet the habbit to crap in front of the main entrance door. She never use to do that at home. How am I suppose to train her so she only does her business in her cat litter?

Those of you who have your cat trained to take a car ride w/you[one of those cat harnesses] do they enjoy it?
I'm asking those who HAVE done this on a kinda of regular basis that is.I want to hear from experienced ppl who are owned by their catswhat observations have you made?Is your cat fearful?Or is he she in awe of the view out the car window while they are on their harness? And is a harness useful as a seatbelt for kitty?Take the ears off punk your not a cat.Hi Ripper Thank you, and yes, I was actually referring to one of those safety leashes especially for car riding for a cat. They actually hook on to a seatbelt not a reg. leash Cats don't like carriers. I've had 30 cats and my uncle is a vet. But never took one on a ride before yet , but I certainly will. Because they have specialized leashes for such as I mentioned above. Because I saw an ad for several. And they are safe I love my felines. and have NEVER called any of them an " it" .

Cat training question - unusual situation...?
I have a cat with three legs. Her front left is missing. The vet can't tell when she lost her leg I got her from the pound that way . I think she lost it when she was a young adult because she " tries" to use the leg that isn't there. When she's in the litter box she tries to cover her poo with the leg that isn't there. How can I teach her to use her good leg to cover it? a bit more info...Her balance is great I'm sure she is physically capable of this based on what I've seen her do. She chases and catches cat toys with the one front paw, for example.Serious answers only please. I'm looking for specific techniques. Dogs are easy to train. Cats? They don't care if they make you happy... after all, aren't we there to make THEM happy? Anyway, if anyone has a training idea that might work, please let me know.Like, when she's batting at a cat toy, she will balance on her back two legs and use the one front one to bat at the toy. She is very nimble and balanced at doing this, with a big range of movements. I wouldn't ask her to do something she can't do, but I know physically she can do this. I just have to figure out how to get her to use her good leg to cover the poo. Some folks on here are so negative. My cat is wonderful and is better on three feet than most cats with four. Yes she can balance on her back two legs and use her front she does it already with other things. For those who don't think animals can learn to do almost anything, check out the dog named Hope who only has two back legs. youtube.com watch?v tpArS0WnVik

Loud yowling cat - Training collar - Shock collar - no bark collar have you found any for cats?
Can you help? I have a cat that wants out at night. I would love to let him out but he gets into fights and loses. lots of expensive vet bills Anyway it's keeping us awake Have any of you ever found a no bark yowl collar for cats and have any luck? I want to keep the cat. I know I must be crazy but there's got to be a way to win this battle with the cat. Thank You Ok thank you for the answers so far. Yes Monty is neutered he was years ago. He is very healthy. We put him out on a harness in our back yard for a few hours each night. We keep him a regular schedule for that hoping that he won't ask to go out at other times. He likes to walk right into our room yowl and run away. We yell he's quiet for about 15 minutes then it starts again. I might just need to buy many many water guns. Any new thoughts?

House cats training and habits?
I have recently got a stray male cat someone dumped near my house in the country. I am not a cat person but I like this cat and want to keep him. I have had him fixed. His problem is wetting on the beds He uses the litter box for his bowels. iI tried putting him outside but he seems so scared and freezes in one place and doesn't move. Is there anything I can do and why does he do this. I have 3 other cats that never go outside the litter box and I have 2 big dogs that are in and out of house. He is friendly with them. all my animals have been dumped. I used to take them to the pound when I found them because they are usually killed within a day or two by wild animals such as coyotes, large cats or wild hogs or they starve to death. A home in the country isn't the best place to get rid of your animal I have found the remains of kittens killed by raccoons or even some birds such as owls or hawks.

Cat Training? My cat may be too lazy!?
I want to train my cat and I've heard of clicker training, but those include giving him treats. Like when you want him to come to you to train him to come you have to set a treat on the floor to get him to come. But my cat won't come He's too lazy Any other ways to get cats to come? My cat doesn't like cat nip, either. And I don't like to give it to him, anyways. It gets him high well, any ideas????????

Cat training...any tips?
I am well aware that training cats isnt as easy as a dog. So far I have been able tot teach my cat to sit, which is was easy considering he loves treats and he started sitting on his own whenever he wanted one, but all the other commands like down, he just seems to ignore and not want any part of.any tips?i didnt mean down from furniture...like down laying down...he sits?pet tricks?thanks he just gets annoyed when i try that. we'll see...i guess its a lot more patience with a cat than with a dog....

Cat training question?
Do cat clickers have more than one noise on them? Because if theres only one noise than you can only teach one thing to the cats with it, right? Because a cat can't associate 5 different tricks to one noise. So how do these cat clickers work? That answer is true in some ways but still it didn't help at all.Thankyou UMI I understand now. I think I'll just forget about getting a clicker if you have to wein them off it. With my last cat I just started training with hand gestures and commands, so I'll do that again.

My girlfriend is having issues with cat-training her dog?
My girlfriend knows all this information on how to gradually train a dog to become tolerant of a cat's presence in the house. While this is helpful for a dog that is outwardly aggressive to cats hers is not. He'll just lay there and watch the cat for 10 20 mins before jumping up and barking aggressively, literally trying to remove it's head. What can we do? He's not continuously being aggressive, just suddenly jumps at the cat. From the obvious the cat just lays there completely calm, watching him. They just lay there calmly before he just suddenly gains such aggression. I've never seen him aggressive before, so it's truly rare that he even growls meanly, let alone trying to remove body parts of fellow creatures...The dog is only a couple years old. And it's definitely an aggression to cats. We're trying to train him out of it because I'm hopefully moving in there soon and I have a cat I am far from willing to give up. She's a cat person too, but loves her dog so we're trying to force a compromise between the two creatures. My cat is quite friendly with dogs so we're just working with her dog right now.
