Is my Main Coon cat overweight?
I have a 8 year old Main Coon that is the goofiest cat i have ever owned. The vet says he is a little on the heavy side at 22 lbs, but he is very active when he wants to be. He runs around the house, plays with toys like a kitten would and also sleeps a lot too. I give him a cup of dry food in the morning and half of a little can of wet food not a regular size can but one of those individual size ones . This is all he gets until the next day outside of a few cat treats. So i am wondering if i should be concerned about how big he is if he is pretty active? I know Main Coons are automatically big cats and my vet has never mentioned putting him on a diet. Does anyone else own a main coon and is their cat as big as mine?Ismael, How can you say that this is animal cruelty? I don't and have never over fed my cat ever.
