Two male cats that just do not get along?
So Tom was our only cat for about 10 years, we adopted him from the wild don't worry, legitimately and so he lived with us no other pets in our house. But last summer we adopted another male from the wild, Henry. So Tom feels like he's the alpha cat, why should he have to deal with this smaller cat? It's safe to say they do not get along. We are not going to get rid of either of them they are going to have to get along. Tom always initiates the fights by hissing growling meowing violently at Henry. Henry seems to just want to live his life, he has nothing against Tom except when Tom takes his aggression too far. So Tom can sometimes wind him up to the extent where Henry feels like he has to retaliate.FYI, Tom is about 12 13 and Henry is about 2 3.Any tips on helping them get along would be great We try to expose them to eachother as often as possible supervised, of course to help them get used to eachother but most of the time they have to be separated by doors within the house.
Which male cats are bigger in size: Birmans or Ragdolls?

Does it seem like male cats are more sweet and lovable than female cats?
May not be the case with you. But all the female cats I've had are usually kinda mean and don't purr as much. The male 1s are the opposite. I don't mean any offense.
How do two male cats behave together?
I currently have a 4 year old cat and he is the sweetest thing. He rarely bites or hisses. And when he was an outdoor cat and was attacked by a mean cat in the neighborhood, he would never fight back. He would just kind of be cornered and take the abuse. At the end of august I am getting a kitten from a friend. He is going to be a boy because of the cost of fixing & what not. I just wanted to know if anybody has any idea as to how my older cat will react to this new family member.
Do male cats usually stop spraying if you get them neutered and if so what is the percentage that stops?
When do male cats start spraying if their not fixed?

New male cat growled at my female feline, possible sign she's looking for a mate?
The neighbors have a male kitten, he's friendly to most cats he came down here for a visit and growled at my female cat. I THINK my female cat is fixed, according to the lady who gave her to me she is, BUT this lady is not 100% reliable. The neighbor's boy who knows the kitten says he's never ever seen him growl at another cat he usually likes other cats. My cat is hungering for the company of other cats she's a bit timid but friendly, never seen her be aggressive to other cats. Before you get on me I've not taken her to the vet because she will not allow herself to be picked up or touched at all she came from an abusive home and I will have only ONE chance to get her in a cat carrier that, iffy at best. I plan to move soon, so really don't want to push my luck unless she gets really sick. The male kitten is fixed but even so, could he be reacting to my cat if she isn't fixed? Could my cat be looking for a mate and thus put off the male kitten who is fixed? My cat is fluffy, not particularly threatening looking or acting. He came down here and didn't feel comfortable, not terribly scared, just like he wanted to go upstairs again.
Male cat agressive and behaving oddly after getting snipped?
i have two cats they are just over a year old one is a boy , the other a girl . he was neutered . she was spayed . my female cat since hes become more friendly and even More affectionate to me than ever and is protective over my 6 week old brother. my male cat is being aggressive sometimes and has been humping teddies . he hasn't been acting that way with the female though. also one of our cats has been pooping outside the litter box . before my male cat was neutered he sprayed our carpet . the cat whose pooping is pooping in the same place my male cat was spraying , we think it might be him because of that . any idea what to do or what is wrong . help would be greatly appreciated thank you
Male cats suddenly do not get along - what to do?
i have 3 male cats, each almost 9 months old all from the same litter, so they have literally grown up together . they are indoor cats. a few days ago one of them accidentally got out, but was found several hours later. later that evening we noticed a cut one of his ears and also saw one of the males was fighting with him not play fighting but real fighting i had to break up with a few squirts from a water bottle . now we do not know if this cut was received while he was out and about or from the male he was fighting with. we cleaned it up and kept an eye on all 3 of them the rest of the night. the same cat that was fighting with him was picking on him the rest of the night,.. hissing at him, stalking him and keeping him hovered in a corner. the next day the cat who got loose was better and feeling more like his old self and the 2 cats were getting along a little better but i am still having issues with this one cat picking on the one who got loose. i have not seen any fighting but the " victim" cat keeps himself hidden under the bed most of the day which is NOT like him and only seems to come out when one of us humans are around and even then the " bully" cat will stare at him and hiss. these cats got alone just fine until the one got loose and came back. why is my one cat now suddenly bullying him and what can i do to help them get along? its been about 3 days and they are still not getting along.
My male cat fake sprays - is this a bad sign for the future?
I just adopted a male cat almost 2 weeks ago and he's quite the sweetheart. But he does this funny tail shake where he holds his tail up high and then vibrates the base of it like crazy. He's being doing it since the day he arrived in my apartment, but nothing comes out... I check the cupboards and bookshelves he does it against but they are dry and they don't smell. He only does this behaviour usually when he is feeling talkative and energetic i.e., I'm making dinner in the kitchen and he's walking around my feet asking for treats, or I'm sitting on the couch watching tv and he's pacing the living room.My apartment doesn't smell or anything and I'm cleaning urine out of his litter box for sure. He's a 6 yr old male cat that was neutered as a kitten. He's a pretty relaxed cat, very low anxiety and he seems to be adjusting really well. Should I be concerned this will turn into real spraying later on? Should I been trying to correct this " fake spraying" behaviour? I've never had male cats, only female cats, so I don't know if this is just an initial reaction to a new home or something common with neutered males.Help I love this cat already and I don't want him to start spraying Yes he is neutered, and I have vet records from the humane society that he was neutered as a kitten. He actually just did it again, and this time I brave enough to feel his bum afterwards. Nothing wet at all. He is literally shaking his tail and spraying nothing.Another thing I've noticed, he does it a lot when he's trying to get my attention. Thoughts?
