Are these cute names for pet cats?
I want to get a pet cat soon, and there are 2 names I like for female kittens Sookie and Rasputina. I love the books and TV show True Blood, and I love the band Rasputina, and I think they would be cute names for cats. So what does everyone else think?hanah montana The question is about cat names, not vampire movies. At least True Blood vampires are actually vampirey. But I suppose you can't expect much from Hannah Montana fans who can't even spell Hannah.

Will a stray tomcat and my pet cats eventually get along?
I have two indoor outdoor cats. female siamese and male tabby . Lately a stray starving tomcat hangs around, and I hate seeing anything go hungry. I've been feeding him but he's not tame and won't come to me. My male pet cat is afraid of him, as this tom is more like the alpha male, although new to my residence. There's a " hiss off" initially, then they all calm down. Even if the tom stays wild, what are the odds of all cats getting along? PS I can't neuter him since I can't even get close to him to catch him.

How To Move Into A New House While Putting Your Pet Cat Through The Least Amount Of Stress?
I'm graduating on Sunday and will be moving out of my mom's house and into my dad's house in a few weeks. I'm bringing my two cats one is six years old and the other is three years old, both are healthy with no medical problems, are fixed, and are indoor cats. when I move into my dad's house. Two years ago I moved from my dad's into my mom's with both of my cats, and they seemed okay with it. The houses are only a few streets apart. Anyways, this time I'm worried about taking them with me because my dad has a very hyper, jumpy, snappy one year old spayed lab boxer mix. We've tried to train the dog but nothing works. We were told that if we got her spayed that she would calm down, but she hasn't. I'm worried that moving my two cats from my mom's calm house she has a large dog who is very laid back and friendly, my cats love him into my dad's house with put them through a huge amount of stress from both the move and the hyper dog.Any tips on how to help my two cats adjust to my dad's house while putting them through the least amount of stress possible? I'm very worried that my dad's dog will 1 not 'outgrow' her hyper ways like the vet said she would after getting spayed 2 will jump stomp bite harass one of the cats and 3 will break through the door like she usually does and chase my indoor cats into the nearby forest or road.

What's it like having a pet cat? do you enjoy them?
i want a pet cat to see what they're like, if you have a pet cat, can you describe what they're like? are they anything like dogs, i have a pet dog, or are they totally different? i like the color black but black cats look kinda evil. but they also look cool too.

Can a pet cat turn feral?
I got my cat when it's feral mother died. My neighbor rescued the kittens and bottle fed them to about a month old, when I got my cat and took over. She's always been a little weird skittish, stand offish but would be lovey dovey off and on, and be reasonably social. However, lately she hardly even comes to our porch to eat anymore. She used to be inside outside but refuses to come in and if we put her in she hides and growls and hisses at anybody walking by people, dogs, cats . She will not use the litter box any more and will poo in the bathtub if she's in too long. When it's cold, she will come to the deck to sleep but runs away when she sees you. If you walk by she tries to swat you and freaks out. She is spayed and has her shots. What do you think is wrong with her? She's lost weight, my estimate would be 2 lbs? 8 lbs to 6 or so. Next chance I get to catch her I'll take her to the vet...

PLEASE HELP! How do I convince my mom to let me adopt a pet cat?
Hello, here is my problem I would like to adopt a kitten, but my mom is against it.My hamster died a few weeks ago and my rabbit had to be put down just a couples of days ago, and I feel VERY lonely. There are still pets at home, my brother's rabbit and the family cat.The family cat is another reason why I want to get a kitten. She isn't very playfull with humans, gets bored easily because we are not at home 24 7 and has weight problems.I was thinking that another cat to keep her company would be fantastic for her, fantastic for me because I could have a pet again, and hell, having a kitten is always fun My mom LOVES cats, that's why I don't understand why she wont let me have one.I work a part time job when I'm not in school, so I will be able to pay anything the cat needs. My mom's only reason for me not to have a cat is this " You can't have a pet anymore" . If I ask why she says she dosen't want to talk about it.I find it painfull because ever since I was a tiny little girl I have ALWAYS had pets, and my mom always loved them My brother has a rabbit, isn't it just fair that i could have one too? Please give me advice to talk to my mom.

Why is my pet cat so mean to other cats (one in particular)?
We've had him the longest, together with his sister 1.5 years . A few months ago we started keeping other cats and from time to time fostering strays nursing unwell kittens. Generally he likes to growl and hiss at these cats, but that's only when they approach him or he unvoluntarily finds himself near them. There is, however, this one female cat whom he approaches on his own and meows at really loudly, in this 'get off my space ' way. Sometimes, after a while of meowing he'll just lunge at her and attack her.Why is he doing this? Our vet said maybe he's jealous, so we tried keeping him in the room at night we'd been having the female cat on our bed and scratching his chin more, but he'd resist or meow to be let out. Also the female cat isn't taking up too much of his space she's quiet and stays in one place and has never as far as I know attacked him in the past.Any ideas??Thanks Yes, all our permanent cats are neutered. We do keep temporary cats in a cage outside, but after a few weeks or once they're off medication we allow them in it just seems too cruel to have them caged up all day.And yes, the female cat is self confident and she usually keeps her place it's good to know that we have at least one sensible cat
